Manager, Critical Care/Emergency Services/ICU New Hampshire
The Critical Care/Emergency Services/ICU Manager is responsible and accountable for coordinating the activities and providing clinical and managerial leadership and clinical skill expertise for the six-bed Emergency Department, the Paramedic Intercept Program (PIP) and the three bed Intensive Care Unit. This Manager also coordinates the activities of Cardiology Services such as stress testing, holter monitoring and loop monitors. He/she contributes to the vision, mission, strategic plan of the organization, and is accountable for the standards of care and practice in the areas of responsibility where clinical nursing is practiced. As a salaried Manager, this position performs managerial duties greater than 60% of the time. The Manager must be clinically competent in ED and ICU nursing skills, including ED triage. Direct patient care services are performed on an as needed basis, typically 10 – 20% of the time. In addition, the Manager possesses knowledge of CMS (HCFA) standards specific to Critical Access Hospitals, New Hampshire Department of Health guidelines, New Hampshire Board of Nursing rules, professional organization standards of practice and the rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the medical center
