Position Summary:

We’ve been asked to assist in a search for a Director of Nursing, Emergency Services for our client in Minnesota. 

The acute care facility has approximately 200-beds.

The Director of Surgical Services will be responsible for the delivery of patient care that promotes safety and well-being of all patients in the assigned department(s) on a twenty-four hour basis.

Adjusts resources to respond to emergency or unusual circumstances.

Plans, directs, coordinates, and evaluates the overall clinical nursing practice.

Administrative activities include fiscal, material and human resource management.

Participates in the development and implementation of hospital policies and procedures.

Requires sound knowledge of nursing practice and exceptional leadership.

Minimum Education: Baccalaureate degree in nursing, or is in active pursuit thereof. Prefer Master's degree in nursing, management or related field.

Current Minnesota Registered Nurse license required.

Five years experience in nursing, prefer unit experience applying for.

• One year supervisory experience required.

• Working knowledge of JCAHO standards.

• Demonstrated desire to continue learning process as seen by continuing education in nursing, management, and/or leadership.

• Resume demonstrates progressive management/leadership positions.
