Position Summary:

We’ve been asked to assist in a search for a Director of Nursing, Emergency Services for our client in Minnesota.  The acute care facility has approximately 200-beds.

The Director of Cardiovascular Services develops, organizes, directs and controls the day-to-day operations of the Cardiovascular Services in support of the Cardiovascular Center at the Medical Center. Assures that the department meets the requirements of JCAHO and applicable federal, state and local regulatory/ accrediting agencies. Manages available resources to meet the needs of the Cardiovascular Services department primary customers. Assists in planning and integrating Cardiovascular Services activities with other Cardiovascular Center, and Medical Center initiatives. Supervises care processes for adult patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures.    Degree in Health Management or Health-Related field. Two years recent cardiovascular services management experience. Five years clinical experience in cardiovascular services. ACLS certification. Knowledge of cardiovascular healthcare practices and protocols. Demonstrated ability to remember and recall multiple policies, procedures, protocols, and standards associated with cardiovascular procedures. Possesses a thorough knowledge cardiovascular technology, equipment and supplies. Ability to organize and prioritize workload. Possesses critical thinking and problem solving skills. Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
